Scout Gillett brought me to tears in Philadelphia at Concourse.
What’s the best gig you’ve played in 2022?
The Disarmers set at dBs in Utrecht and the Empty Bottle in Chicago for Mightmare.
Where’s the best place you’ve visited?
Oslo.
Best food you’ve eaten in 2022?
Pure Soul in Durham, NC.
What’s the best thing that’s happened in music generally in 2022?
Touring resumed!
What’s the best thing that happened to you in music in 2022?
I dropped a new album with the Disarmers (Nightroamer, Thirty Tigers), released my debut record with Mightmare (Cruel Liars, Kill Rock Stars), produced a record for an artist I really believe in, and toured 170 days in 8 countries. It was a huge year for me. I’m very tired [laughs]
What’s your favourite song of 2022?
My most played song was ‘DITHL 1’ by Lily White but ‘Cheap Ring’ by Miserable was a close second. Also I just discovered ‘Glass’ by Mareux feat. King Woman and I been wearin’ it out.
What are your top three albums of 2022?
Wilderness Of Mirrors by the Black Angels
Loverboy/Dog Days by Miserable
What are you most proud of in 2022?
My bandmates: Jack, Blake, Lambie, and Nick in the Disarmers, and Blake, Ash, and Ethan in Mightmare. The brotherhood rides again.
