“Something clicked right away and we ended up writing 4 or 5 songs a day. Before that, it would take me half a year to write 4 or 5 songs. He told me, if you’re going to build a house, you need to call some carpenters. You need to bring in the experts who do it every day for a living. It’s the same way with songs. Some of those guys have been doing this since before I was born.”
On his fourth record Jeremie Albino does a bit of a pivot into something appropriating 60s soul, maybe a bit of jazz, some old fashioned country, and bits of other genres.
