Becca Mancari - Left Hand

This record changed my life, but not in the ways that I thought it would. For so long I have wanted to be accepted and loved, but I was looking for other people or things to fill that void in me.

After releasing my last record, ‘The Greatest Part’, during the middle of 2020 while the pandemic raged around me, followed by the sudden illness of a close family member in 2021, I sat at home and thought maybe I was done making music. Instead, I decided to do the hard work of learning how to love and accept myself.

I started looking at writing music as a true practice for the first time, and I dug deep, and I allowed myself to mess up, take risks, and play with a childlike freedom.
— Becca Mancari

On their third album Becca Mancari has delivered a real impact, with a depth of lyric and sound far and above most other artists. Big fan of Left Hand, which despite coming out of a tricky period for Becca is a positive 40 minutes of music.

I’m the editor-in-chief. The guy who looks after this whole damn place. And the music you see here is the kinda sounds that I’m into. They’re my questions, but not my answers.
