#16 Morgan Wade - Reckless

The opening track of Reckless sets the tone for the following 39 minutes, it’s rocky, it’s country, and it’s great. ‘Wilder Days’ was the lead single for that reason, but it’s songs like ‘Other Side’ that open up the more personal side for Morgan Wade’s debut: “You knew my skin back before I had all these tattoos”. “I’ll always be my own worst critic” starts ‘Don’t Cry’ adding to the feeling that Morgan’s really opening up on these ten tracks. Lyrically honest, with melodies and hooks given life by acoustic guitars and Morgan’s voice, Reckless is country-rock with soul.
